Here we are introducing a trick called "Twenty Dollar Trick"

Many people might have heard about it. It's also called "$20 Sandwich Trick" or "Credit Card Sandwich"


When you check into a hotel, you simply put a $20 bill between your ID credit card and hand this "sandwich" to the front desk clerk, while asking "Do you have any free upgrades available?".
The front desk clerk will check for upgrades and if they cannot find anything they will return your tip, making it risk free for you!


Las Vegas hotels have some extravagant rooms giving hotel clerks lots of options to upgrade you too. This makes Las Vegas the perfect place to use the $20 Trick. But remember that the $20 Trick does not always work. If the hotel has no upgrade rooms available or the front desk clerk is not interested in this it will not work. Generally, the rule of thumb is if the clerk does not have any upgrades available they will refund your $20. There have been a few cases when the clerk did not return the money. Be willing to move on, you are surely going to spend more than $20.


 Couple tips to increase the success rate:
1. Know the availablity of the hotel during your stay. Call ahead!
2. Know what you want. Do you want a Suite? Do you want a better view? Try to be specific.
3. Know how much the upgrade would be. If necessary, tip more for a suite than a view.
4. Be very nice!!!! Very Important!
